The Jharkhand skill development university is expected to increase employment opportunities for educated and trained youths
NEW DELHI: A new skill development university will be set up in Jharkhand soon, said chief minister Hemant Soren.
“Hemant Soren, chief minister of Jharkhand, while reviewing the work progress of the Higher and Technical Education Department, announced the establishment of a new skill university for qualitative improvement in the development of higher and technical education. Providing opportunities in the field of skill development and entrepreneurship is a priority,” read the tweet from the office of the chief minister, Jharkhand.

The Jharkhand government was starting a new initiative for university students of the state to receive qualitative higher and technical education as well as skill development. This move is expected to increase employment opportunities for educated and trained youths, Soren reportedly said.
“To promote skill development and entrepreneurship, a Digital Skill University will be established soon”, Soren announced.

The chief minister further said that the Jharkhand government was having discussions with various universities in this regard. A study to analyse the requirements of the local industry and business establishments is also underway so that the educated and trained youths could be engaged accordingly, reported the Telegraph India.
