Jharkhand PECE 2026 exam schedule revised for polytechnic admission; apply by June 22

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has revised the schedule for the Jharkhand Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE) 2026. Candidates can check the Jharkhand PECE revised schedule on the official website at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.
According to the revised schedule, the last date to submit Jharkhand PECE applications has been extended from June 17 to June 22, 2026. Candidates will now also be able to make corrections in their application forms between June 23 and 24, 2026.
The board has also updated the Jharkhand PECE 2026 exam date. The Polytechnic entrance exam, which was earlier scheduled for July 5, will now be conducted on July 12, 2026.
The Jharkhand PECE admit cards will be available for download from the official website four days before the examination date. The Jharkhand PECE exam 2026 will be held at multiple district headquarters, including Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Dumka, Palamu, Hazaribagh, and Chaibasa.

JCECEB has clarified that all other terms and conditions mentioned in the earlier Jharkhand PECE notification will remain unchanged.
Jharkhand PECE 2026 exam pattern
As per the Jharkhand PECE exam pattern, the exam is conducted in offline mode using an OMR sheet. It consists of 150 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, each carrying 50 marks. Candidates are given 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the exam. The syllabus is based on the Class 10 (Madhyamik) level.
According to the Jharkhand PECE marking scheme, candidates get 1 mark for each correct answer. There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. No marks are given for unanswered questions. If more than one option is marked for a question, it is treated as a wrong answer.
The Jharkhand PECE is a state-level exam for admission into diploma courses in engineering and other fields in government and private polytechnic colleges in Jharkhand.
