JKCET Counselling 2026: Candidates whose names were included in the merit list are eligible to apply for BTech counselling at jkbopee.gov.in.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has begun the first round of online counselling for admission to BTech programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. Eligible candidates can submit their online choices through the official website, jkbopee.gov.in.
Only those candidates who appeared for the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) 2026 and were included in the provisional merit list on May 6 are eligible to register for the online counselling session.
The JK board will announce the seat allotment results for admission to various BTech programmes on the basis of choices submitted by the candidates.

The board clarified that it will not be responsible if a seat is allotted based on an incorrect category mentioned by a candidate in the online application form.
Candidates can fill their choices online and pay a counselling fee of Rs 1,000 after submission of preferences. “Applicants are also advised to download and keep a printout of the payment confirmation,” JKBOPEE said.
Notably, those who failed to upload documents such as domicile certificate, Class 10 marks card, Class 12 marks card, diploma, degree, or qualifying marks certificate during registration will still be provisionally allowed to participate in counselling, the JK board said.
However, such candidates must fulfil all eligibility conditions and produce the required documents at the time of admission, if selected, it added.
