JKPSC CCE 2024 prelims exam dates announced; exam pattern, selection process

JKPSC CCE 2024 prelims exam is scheduled to be held on November 17.
NEW DELHI: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has announced the exam dates for the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 prelims. As per the official notice, the JKPSC CCE prelims exam will be held on November 17.
“It is for the information of all the eligible candidates, who have applied for the post of J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination-2024, vide Notification No. 04-PSC (DR-P) of 2024 dated 26.07.2024, that the J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, shall be held on 17.11.2024 (Sunday),” the official notice read.
Eligible candidates who applied for the JKPSC CCE 2024 prelims exam can check the official notice through the commission’s website, jkpsc.nic.in. The recruitment drive seeks to fill a total of 90 vacancies: 30 positions in the Junior Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, 30 in the Jammu and Kashmir Police (General) Service, and 30 in the Jammu and Kashmir Accounts (General) Service.
The JKPSC CCE 2024 selection process includes preliminary exam, main exam and a personality test. Candidates will be selected based on their scores in written exams and interviews.

JKPSC CCE 2024 prelims exam pattern
The JKPSC CCE 2024 prelims exam will have two papers including general studies paper 1 and general studies paper 2. Both papers will feature objective-type questions carrying 200 marks. The question papers will be set in English.
The general studies paper 2, also known as the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT), of the CCE prelims exam, will serve as a qualifying paper, with the minimum qualifying marks set at 33%. Candidates must clear the preliminary examination to be eligible for the JKPSC CCE main exam.
