Join Careers360 PremiumNEW DELHI: University of Jammu has extended the registration deadline for Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test (JKSET) 2024. Eligible candidates can now fill out the JKSET 2024 application form by July 20 without late fee. The JKSET 2024 written exam is scheduled to be held on October 20.
Candidates can fill out the JKSET 2024 application form by visiting the official website at jujkset.in. The last date to submit the form with a late fee of Rs 600 is July 25, 2024. To register for the exam, candidates from the general category will have to pay Rs 1,200.
Candidates from other backward classes (OBC), economically weaker sections (EWS) category will have to pay Rs 900 and candidates from scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), transgender, and persons with disabilities (PwD) with 40% disability are required to pay Rs 700 to register for the JKSET 2024.
The institute will open the JKSET 2024 application correction window from July 29 to 31. The JKSET 2024 admit card is scheduled to be issued on October 14. The JKSET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of assistant professor in universities and colleges in the Union Territories of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.

JKSET 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates should check the JKSET eligibility criteria before apply for the exam.

Candidates should have at least 55 per cent marks or an equivalent grade in their master's degree or equivalent exam from institutions recognised by the UGC.

Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying master's degree exam and whose results are still awaited will be admitted provisionally and will be awarded eligibility for assistant professor after passing the master's degree exam.

PhD degree holders who completed their master's degree exam by September 19, 1991, are granted a relaxation of 5 per cent in aggregate marks for appearing in JKSET exam.

Transgender candidates are eligible for the same relaxation in fee and age as available to SC, ST, and PwD category candidates.
