80,000 candidates to appear for JKSSB 2021; Exam begins today amid tight security

NEW DELHI: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) said that nearly 80,000 unique candidates are scheduled to appear for various exams at 21 test centres today, December 20. The JKSSB 2021 will be held till January 12. Applicants can download their JKSSB admit card 2021 at jkssb.nic.in.

As per the JKSSB latest notification, “The Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) held a review meeting to take stock of the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of forthcoming computer-based test (CBT) examination for various posts of Agriculture Production Department, Finance Department and Skill Development Department at 21 examination venues/centres in Jammu, Kathua, Srinagar, Budgam and Baramulla districts.”

JKSSB 2021: Security tightened

The board informed that adequate security arrangements have been put in place at each JKSSB exam centre. The concerned District Magistrates have also issued prohibitory orders under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) around the examination centres during the timing of examination.

Besides, 21 officers have been deployed as Examination Observers by the General Administration Department and 10 IT professionals have been deployed by the Information Technology Department for monitoring of the said CBT examination. The J-K police has also deployed security personnel for frisking and maintenance of law and order at each venue/ location.

In addition, the JKSSB CBT 2021 will be conducted under CCTV surveillance for maintaining transparency in the written examination, the official notice said.

However, the candidates appearing for the JKSSB 2021 recruitment exam are also cautioned to desist from indulging in any unfair means like Impersonation, carrying of prohibited items like mobile phones, electronic equipment or gadget or any other material with the intention of receiving assistance.

JKSSB warned applicants that if found to be attempting or using any unfair means during the examination, “They shall be dealt with strictly, as per the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (Conduct of Examinations) Regulations, 2013 including debarring of such candidates for appearing in future examinations.”

On November 11, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced that the government has decided to provide one-time age relaxation for aspirants preparing for JK sub-inspector recruitment 2021. And also ordered to increase of upper age limit from 28 to 30 years for the aspirants and enhanced the number of UT Cadre JK posts 2021 from 800 to 1200.
