JMI to hold its centenary year convocation tomorrow; over 12,000 students to get degrees

A total of 12,500 students will be awarded degrees and diplomas who passed out in the academic year 2019 and 2020.

NEW DELHI: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will hold its centenary year convocation ceremony tomorrow, July, 23. A total of 12,500 students including gold medallists who passed out in the 2019 and 2020 academic sessions will be awarded degrees and diplomas.

On the occasion, Professor Najma Akhtar, Vice-Chancellor, JMI will deliver her address and present the report of the university.

Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar will be the chief guest and will deliver the convocation address. Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan will preside over the convocation which will start at 11 AM.

As per the JMI official press release, a special function will be organised in the evening at 5:30 PM tomorrow at Dr M A Ansari Auditorium where the chief guest of the event, lieutenant governor of Delhi, Vinai Kumar Saxena will distribute gold medals to the toppers.
