JoSAA counselling 2025 is held for admission to 128 participating institutions, including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 47 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). The JoSAA counselling 2025 round 1 final seat allotment list will be released on June 14, and round 2 on June 21.
JoSAA released the mock seat allotment round 1 result on June 9 and for round 2 on June 11. Eligible candidates can access their mock allotment result by entering their JEE Main application number and password. JoSAA mock seat allotment is held for students to understand which colleges they can get admission to based on their preferences. Students can also modify their preferences based on the mock seat allotment.
JoSAA Counselling 2025: Seats offered
This year, engineering seats in IITs have been increased to 18,160 from 17,760. The list of seats available for JoSAA counselling in IITs, NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs is as follows.

JoSAA counselling 2025 process includes registration, choice filling and locking, seat allotment result, fee payment, download allotment letter, colleges reporting and lastly admission confirmation. After the JoSAA counselling 2025 rounds are held, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will host the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) and CSAB counselling for vacant seats in the NIT+ system.
