Students have to pay a deposit of Rs 40,000 for the final counselling round.

Candidates who have appeared for the Karnataka Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET 2025) must pay a mandatory caution deposit before the third and final round of seat allotments. Choice-filling will be open only to those who have completed the deposit payment. Students who do not pay the deposit amount will not be eligible for the third round of counselling.
If a seat is allotted during the final round of DCET 2025 counselling, the entire security deposit will be adjusted against the tuition fee of the allotted college. If a selected student fails to pay the prescribed fees, does not take admission at the college, or wishes to cancel their seat, the caution amount will be forfeited. The student will have to pay an additional penalty and will not be eligible to participate in the counselling process for subsequent years.
DCET 2025 candidates should appear at the KEA centre for offline document verification on August 12. After confirmation of their eligibility, they will be allowed to submit the caution deposit money. The last date for submitting the security deposit is August 14.

Candidates who have completed the DCET registration and fee payment can finalise their choice-filling for the third round of counselling. The seat allocation will be based on the choices filled, along with the availability of seats and the candidate’s rank. The choice-filling window will be open from August 11 to August 16.
The cation deposit will be received from the candidates applying for lateral entry admission to the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) courses. Those who have applied for the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) programme are not required to pay a deposit. Candidates who are working professionals are also exempt from this payment.
The provisional seat allotment result for Karnataka DCET 2025 will be announced on August 16. The authority will declare the final allotment results on August 18.
