Kasturba Medical College celebrates 70th anniversary; awards toppers
KMC management held an awards ceremony for academic toppers and student council members.

Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangalore, a unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, celebrated its 70th anniversary at the TMA Pai International Convention Centre in Mangalore.
The KMC's 70th-anniversary celebration included an awards ceremony for academic toppers (batch-wise and subject-wise), outstanding sportsmen, and members of the student council, student research forum, and student club.
B Unnikrishnan, the dean of KMC Mangalore, presented the college report for 2023 at the event. Pramod Kumar, the associate dean, expressed his gratitude to the dignitaries, college faculty and students, press and media representatives, and all others for gracing the event.
Ganesh N Nayak, the Executive Director of Zydus Lifesciences Limited, graced the event as the chief guest. He said, "KMC Mangalore has become a pioneer in the medical science field with numerous contributions. The college is producing world-class healthcare professionals and providing community service across the globe."
HS Ballal, the Pro-Chancellor of MAHE, said, "KMC has had a transformative impact on medical education and healthcare for seven decades now. This compassion and service need to be continued for several years."
Sharath K Rao, the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Health Sciences at MAHE, said, "KMC needs to continue this culture and stand at the forefront of medical education, innovation, and research."
