KCET 2024: Registration window re-opens tomorrow; application fee, exam pattern

NEW DELHI: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will re-open the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2024) registration window tomorrow, March 30. Interested and eligible candidates can fill the KCET 2024 application form by visiting the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. The deadline to apply for KCET 2024 is April 1 till 4 pm. Candidates who apply for the KCET 2024 within this time period will be allotted to the Bangalore exam centre.

As per the latest schedule, the KCET admit card 2024 will be issued on April 5. The KCET 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on April 18 and 19. The Kannada language test will be conducted on April 20. The results are expected to be declared on May 20.

Candidates are required to pay an application fee to complete the KCET 2024 registration process. General Merit (GM), 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B candidates of Karnataka are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500/-, while CAT-1, Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates of the state have to pay Rs 250/-. Candidates who have studied outside Karnataka are charged Rs. 750/- for the application process. Foreign candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 5000/-.

KCET 2024 exam pattern

The KCET 2024 will be conducted in offline mode. It comprises three subjects- mathematics or biology, physics, and chemistry. The medium of the exam is English or Kannada. The duration of each paper in KCET 2024 is 1 hour and 20 minutes. There will be a total of 180 (60 per subject) questions of multiple-choice type. Each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.\
