KCET DCET 2026: Document verification for working professionals on August 13

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has scheduled a document verification session for professional diploma graduates. As per the official announcement, applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can appear for in-person document verification on August 13, 2026 at 11 am.

This notice is for applicants who have applied for engineering admissions under the working professionals category through Diploma DCET 2026 . The verification is also for applicants who have finished the required work experience and sat for the Diploma DCET 2026 exam.

The authority made this announcement after the Karnataka government released the seat matrix for admission of newly qualified professional diploma applicants at Veerappa Nisti Engineering College, Yadgir.

KEA DCET 2026: Required documents

The documents needed during the document verification are:

• Printed DCET/KCET online application form
• Valid exam hall ticket/admit card
• SSLC / 10th standard marks card
• Diploma semester-wise marks cards (for DCET) or Class 12 marks card (for KCET)
• Study certificate showing 7 years of schooling in Karnataka
• Category/Caste income certificate (if claiming reservation)
• Service and experience certificates (strictly for working professional applicants)

KCET DCET 2026: Admission via government sea matrix

The admission of working professional applicants in engineering colleges will depend on the seat matrix issued by the Karnataka government. The provision follows the applicable AICTE guidelines for diploma working professionals.

Applicants with at least one year of full-time or regular work experience may be considered for lateral entry into the second year or third semester of engineering programmes, subject to the applicable rules and government directions.

However, fulfilling the basic eligibility criteria does not guarantee a government seat. Applicants who fail to meet the prescribed eligibility requirements or do not qualify during document verification will not be considered for government seats via KEA under the applicable CET 2026 rules.
