QE marks in KCET 2023 means qualifying examination marks. It is the marks scored by candidates in Class 12 or equivalent examination.

While BTech courses are being introduced in regional languages with great pride, colleges see rather less enrolment and almost empty classrooms. In Karnataka, 3 engineering colleges offered 30 seats each in BTech in Kannada languages. Only half of the engineering seats were filled.

Around 2.26 lakh students registered for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2023, as per reports.

KCET results 2023 will be available after 11 am on the official website -- kea.kar.nic.in, as per a Hindustan Times report.

KEA released KCET answer key 2023 on May 26. Candidates were able to raise objections against the provisional answer key by May 30. The KCET results 2023 will be based on the KCET final answer key.

The KEA is expected to declare the KCET 2023 results in half an hour at 9.30 AM.

Those candidates who qualify in the KCET 2023 results, will have to participate in the KCET counselling process to be further shortlisted for admission in the participating engineering colleges in the state.

University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) was disaffiliated from Bangalore University and was not receiving adequate funding by the state government. A month later in April, the Karnataka higher education department asked UVCE to “maintain status quo” with regard to its affiliation to Bangalore University for one more year. KCET rank is calculated based on the marks secured by candidates in the qualifying examination. Candidates will be marked out of 180. Based on the marks secured, KEA will allot ranks to students.

KCET result 2023 will be released today, June 15, at 9.30 AM, media reports quoted officials.

Once KCET result 2023 is declared, students will be able to download the UGCET scorecard 2023 from the KCET result 2023 direct link at karresults.nic.in, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in or kea.kar.nic.in.

In December last year, Karnataka education minister Ashwathnarayan CN announced that the Karnataka State Higher Education Council has decided to allow undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students to write exam in Kannada, English or a mix of both the languages.

Karnataka KCET cut-off marks are the minimum marks that candidates have to obtain in KCET result 2023 to participate in the KEA counselling for admission to the participating institutes.

Candidates can use the Careers360's KCET college predictor to check the colleges admitting students based on the KCET rank secured.

• Enter KCET BTech rank and select seat type in KCET counselling.
• Fill up the category details as per the selected seat type.
• Click on the “Predict My Colleges” button.
• Check the list of top probable colleges and courses accepting the candidate’s KCET marks.
• Apply filters to choose preferred branches, location, college ranking etc.

The Consortium for Technical Education (CTE) along with Karnataka Skill development Corporation (KSDC) will be providing training courses through the Karnataka skill connect portal for students in the state. The aim of the initiative is to develop skilled students by providing training on technical advancements and promote entrepreneurship.

The Karnataka minister for higher education, CN Ashwath Narayan, earlier this year invited global partnership between higher education institutes in Karnataka and Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE).
