Candidates with “Claimed but Not Verified” certificates are asked to complete verification at nearby government PU colleges before the deadline

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the document verification deadline for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET 2026). According to the notification, candidates whose “Claims Certificate” status is marked as “Not Verified” must complete the document verification process on or before May 21.
Candidates are instructed to visit the nearest Government Pre-University (PU) college and submit all required original documents for verification.
The KEA has clarified that candidates who have already completed their schooling details verification through the SATS number during online UGCET 2026 registration do not need to re-verify their academic records if their status shows as “Successfully Verified.”

Candidates claiming reservation benefits such as Kannada medium education from Class 1 to 10, rural quota, or linguistic and religious minority status must complete document verification if their certificate status still shows “Not Verified.” KEA said that some candidates have not yet completed the verification process despite earlier instructions.
“The notice has been issued as a final opportunity for such candidates. KEA has advised all affected applicants to complete the verification process without delay, as no further extension is expected beyond the deadline,” the official statement said.
The Karnataka UGCET, also known as KCET, is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The Karnataka UGCET exam is held for admission to first-year undergraduate professional courses such as engineering, pharmacy, architecture, agriculture, and veterinary sciences in government and participating private colleges across Karnataka.
