KEAM 2025 prospectus was published last month for engineering, medical, pharmacy, and other undergraduate courses. Days later, the state government introduced amendments in the admission policy. However, the Kerala High Court quashed the last-minute changes, calling it “illegal, arbitrary, and unjustified”.
Following this, Kerala CEE revised the KEAM rank list 2025 published for the engineering admissions. The KEAM rank list 2025 for MBBS, BDS will also be prepared without considering the changes introduced in the new prospectus.
KEAM 2025 new prospectus changed the 1:1:1 rule for normalisation of marks obtained by students in the qualifying subjects in Class 12. This last-minute change was opposed by several students as it changed the overall merit.

However, the Kerala higher education minister R Bindu said that the government was not planning on appealing against the high court as it would delay the admission process. She said that the earlier formula was "unjust" and that is why it was changed. The minister also said that the KEAM prospectus contained a clause permitting the government to make changes in it at any time.
Through the KEAM 2025 counselling, admission to medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha, Unani and allied courses such as agriculture, co-operation and banking, BTech Bio Tech, climate change, forestry, veterinary and fisheries will be done.
“Candidates who do not submit their NEET (UG) - 2025 results to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations within the stipulated time shall not be considered for the preparation of rank list for Medical & Medical Allied courses,” it said.
