On July 9, the single-judge bench led by Justice D K Singh cancelled the KEAM 2025 result and asked the exam authorities to prepare a new KEAM rank list, observing that the last-minute changes, especially one hour before the result declaration, in exam rules are ‘unjustified’ and ‘illegal’.
On July 1, 2025, the CEE notified the revised KEAM prospectus 2025 before declaring the results, as per which, the formula for counting the marks in PCM was changed from 50:50 to 5:3:2. The amendment was done to support state students. Whereas, the exam prospectus published on February 19 prescribed that the marks of physics, chemistry, and mathematics shall be in the ratio of 1:1:1. The HC was hearing a petition filed by students who passed the Class 12 board exams from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
