NEW DELHI: The LBS Centre for Science and Technology has begun the registration process for the Kerala State Eligibility Test (KSET) January 2025. Eligible candidates can register for Kerala SET January 2025 through the official website, lbsedp.lbscentre.in.

As per the official notice, the last date to complete the registration process for the Kerala SET January 2025 is October 20, 2024. Candidates can make any necessary edits to their submitted applications from October 23 at 11 am to October 25, 2024. The dates for the availability of the online KSET 2024 admission ticket and the test will be intimated later on the official website.

Candidates intending to register for the state eligibility test will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 for the general (Gen) and other backward class (OBC) categories. Candidates from scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and persons with disability (PwD) are required to pay Rs 500 to register for the Kerala SET January 2025. The last date to make payment is October 22.

Kerala SET January 2025: Eligibility criteria

Candidates must fulfill the requirements outlined below to be eligible for the Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET) January 2025 exam.

  • Candidates should have acquired a master's degree in the relevant subjects with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade, along with a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in any discipline from a university in Kerala, or an equivalent qualification from another recognized university.

  • For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, candidates with a Master of Science in Education (MScEd) degree in the relevant subjects, achieving at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade from any Regional Institute of Education sponsored by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), are eligible to apply.

  • Candidates with an II class master's degree in communicative English, achieving at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade, along with a BEd, are eligible to appear for the SET in English.

  • Candidates who obtained their qualifications through correspondence courses or open universities that are not recognised by any university in Kerala are not eligible to appear for the KSET January 2025.

  • First-year postgraduate (PG) and BEd candidates are not eligible to apply for the Kerala SET January 2025.

“The applicants who are studying in the final year PG/BEd at the time of applying for SET should submit a declaration in the prescribed format duly attested by the principal and the same has to be submitted, while applying for Original SET Certificate. The format of the declaration is available on the website,” the information bulletin read.
