NEW DELHI: The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has issued the MAH 3-year LLB CET answer key along with the question paper and response sheet. The officials have also notified the process of equated score computation method used to calculate the MAH LLB CET scores.

Candidates who appeared in the MAH LLB CET exam 2024 held on March 12 and 13 will be able to download their response sheet and answer key from the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. Those who are not satisfied with the answer key will be able to raise objections through the candidate login by paying Rs 1,000 per question. The last date to challenge the answer key is April 3.
The computer-based test (CBT) carried 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs) which were divided into four sections namely legal aptitude and reasoning, logical and analytical reasoning, general knowledge and current affairs, and English.
As per the marking scheme, one mark will be allotted for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
The state-level entrance exam for law admission was conducted for two days in multiple sessions. The question paper and difficulty level may vary as the exam was held for more than a day. In view of this, the CET Cell will be following an equated score computation method to ensure that no candidate is advantaged or disadvantaged because of the difficulty level of exams.
The officials calculate standard score and equated score to determine the merit. The method includes the following steps.
Step 1 – Find the mean and standard deviation of all the students considering it as one group.
Step 2 - Find the mean and standard deviation of all the sessions individually.
Step 3 – Find the standard score of each student with the respective mean and standard deviation.
Standard score is calculated using the formula = Total marks – mean of the batch divide by standard deviation of the batch.
Now the equated score is calculated by multiplying standard score and standard deviation considering all candidates as one group and adding mean considering all candidates as one group. The equated score will be rounded off to the nearest whole number.
