MAH LLB CAP 2026: Round 1 option form deadline extended to August 11; college count rises to 247

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has again extended the last date for both 3-year and 5-year LLB courses from August 9 to August 11, 2026. Applicants who are participating in the MAH LLB Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026-27 can submit their round 1 option form on the official website of MAHACET at cetcell.mahacet.org.

As per the notice, this decision has been because various law colleges in Maharashtra are still completing the process of obtaining approval from the Bar Council of India (BCI) and affiliation from their respective universities.

New colleges that receive the needed statutory approvals are being added to the list of institutions available while they fill their choices for CAP round 1. Candidates can go through the list of the participating colleges and arrange their preferences accordingly.

MAH 3rd and 5th Year LLB CAP 2026: Steps to fill

To fill out the form, follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official website of MAHACET at cetcell.mahacet.org
• Log in to the MAH LLB CAP online admission system by using required details
• Check the list of the newly approved colleges and arrange the preferences
• Submit the round 1 option form and download the submitted form
• Take a printout of the submitted form

MAH LLB CAP 2026: Number of law colleges added in the pool

For the three-year LLB course, the number of colleges available for selection has increased from 93 on August 5 to 146 currently, with 53 colleges added to the pool. For the five-year LLB course, the number of available colleges has risen from 56 to 101, adding 45 colleges during the same period. Overall, 98 colleges have been added across the three-year and five-year LLB admission processes.

Currently, aspirants can choose from 146 colleges for the three-year LLB course and 101 colleges for the five-year LLB course, taking the total number of colleges across both courses to 247. The CET cell has indicated that more law colleges may be added to the list as they receive the required approvals.
