MH 3-year LLB CET: Eligibility
The admission criteria for 3-year LLB admission in Maharashtra was revised after the high court’s order in 2022. Vishnu Harishchandre filed a petition in 2021 after he was denied admission as he completed his bachelor’s degree in commerce from Yashwantrao Chavan Open University, Nashik, in 2008. He was denied admission as the Bar Council of India (BCI) earlier did not recognise degrees awarded through distance education.
As per the high court’s order, the CET Cell has now informed applicants that those who have completed degrees through open universities will also be eligible for 3-year LLB admission.
“The qualifications of 10th, 12th (+2) and graduation may be obtained through any mode (Distance / Correspondence / Open schooling method) are eligible for LL.B.- 3 Year CET-2024,” the information brochure read. The MH LLB 3-year CET exam 2024 will be held on March 12 and 13.
