Maharashtra forms high-level task force to gather student, parents feedback on recruitment exam system

The Government of Maharashtra has formed a high-level task force to make the state’s recruitment examinations secure, transparent, credible and candidate-oriented. The task force will conduct a comprehensive study of the state's recruitment examination system and suggest necessary reforms. It will also visit all six divisions of the state in person.

The body will conduct a direct dialogue with students, competitive exam candidates, parents, teachers, educational institutions and other relevant stakeholders to gather their suggestions, concerns and feedback.

The government has issued a schedule of the task force for the month of September 2026. As per the official notice, the task force will visit Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune on September 12.

It will then reach DPDC Hall, Niyojan Bhavan, behind Sadar Police Station, Civil Lines, Nagpur on September 16, and Amravati on September 17.

The task force will then initiate dialogue with students, parents, and candidates at Smart City Office, near Aamkhas Maidan, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on September 21.

The last two visits will be held at Chetana College and Mumbai Suburban Collector's Office, Mumbai and collector's office, Nashik on September 29 and 30.

The Task Force will study the suggestions and feedback received through these division-wise interactions.

On this basis, it will submit recommendations to the government on the reforms needed to prevent malpractices in recruitment examinations, strengthen exam security, increase transparency and credibility in the process, and make the examination system more candidate-oriented.

Details regarding the timing of the visits, the process for participation, and other particulars will be announced separately by the respective Divisional Commissioner's office.
