The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has announced the Maharashtra Class 12th result date and time 2026. According to the official reports, the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) results will be out on May 2, at 1 pm.

Students can check their Class 12th marksheets through the official websites of the board: mahresult.nic.in, mahahsscboard.in, hscresult.mkcl.org, and results.digilocker.gov.in. To check the scores, students need to enter the details, including their roll number and their mother’s first name.

The Maharashtra Class 12 examinations for 2026 were conducted from February 10 to March 11, 2026. A total of around 14.17 lakh students appeared for the exam across various streams, including Science, Commerce, and Arts.

Maharashtra Class 12th result 2026: Steps to check

To check the Maharashtra HSC exam result, students need to follow the steps given below:

  • Visit the official result website at mahresult.nic.in
  • Click on the link that reads, “HSC Examination March 2026 Result”
  • Enter the roll number and mother’s first name, and then click on the “View Result” button
  • The result will be displayed on the screen
  • Download the Maharashtra Class 12 result and take a printout for future reference

Maharashtra HSC Result 2026: Passing criteria

To pass the Maharashtra HSC exam, students must secure a minimum of 35% marks in each subject. Based on the grading system, scores between 35%–44% are considered a pass, while higher percentages correspond to divisions such as second, first, and distinction.

Maharashtra Class 12th result: Past years' trends

In the previous year's statistics, in 2025, about 14.18 lakh students appeared, with an overall pass percentage of 91.88%. Girls outperformed boys, recording a higher success rate. In earlier years, the pass percentage stood at 93.37% in 2024 and 91.25% in 2023, indicating relatively stable performance trends over time.
