Maharashtra SSC 2024 exams begin today; guidelines, timings, passing marks

NEW DELHI: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will conduct the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or Class 10 exams from today, March 1. The Maharashtra SSC 2024 board exams will conclude on March 26. The Maharashtra SSC 2024 exams will be held for a duration of 3 hours 10 minutes.

The Maharashtra SSC 2024 exams will be held in two sessions - the first shift will be from 11 am to 2:10 pm and the second from 3pm to 6:10 pm. There is a new change in the exam duration, the board will no longer give students an extra 10 minutes to go through the question paper before the exam begins. Rather, students will be given an extra ten minutes at the end of their exams for reviewing or completing their answers.

Maharashtra SSC 2024: Passing marks

Students are required to score 35% in each paper and aggregate to pass the Maharashtra SSC exams 2024. Last year, a total of 15,29,096 students sat for the Maharashtra SSC board exam, out of which 14,34,898 passed the exam. A total of 5,26,210 students passed with first division, while 3,34,015 got the second division in Maharashtra SSC exam last year.

Maharashtra SSC 2024 exam guidelines

Students appearing for the Maharashtra SSC 2024 exam should follow the following guidelines.

  • Students should appear for the exam in school uniforms only.

  • Students are not allowed to carry electronic devices, including mobile phones, earphones, calculators, smart watches, and so on.

  • Students should carry the Maharashtra SSC admit card 2024 and school identity card.

  • Students are required to reach the exam center at least 45 minutes before to avoid delay.

  • Candidates should cross- check their seating arrangement and room number.

  • Exchange of stationery items during the exam is not allowed.

  • Students caught using any unfair means will be disqualified from the exam.
