Management Development Institutes conduct joint convocation; 714 students receive diplomas
MDI conducted joint convocation where 714 students received their diplomas. Institutes also awarded 21 medals to meritorious students.

NEW DELHI: The Management Development Institute, Gurgaon and Murshidabad jointly organised a convocation ceremony on Saturday, April 15. A total of 714 students students received their diplomas, the Institute also awarded 21 medals to meritorious students of MDI Gurgaon and 5 students of MDI Murshidabad.
A total of 556 students of academic year 2021-23 from different Post Graduate Programmes including 7 Fellow Scholars received their diplomas from MDI Gurgaon. In addition to this, 158 students from MDI Murshidabad were conferred diplomas from its PCDM program.

While speaking about the Institute's progress, MDI Board of Governors acting governor Sangeeta Shah Bhardwaj said: “The Fellow Programme in Management of MDI Gurgaon has received equivalence to Ph.D from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) recently. Research events are critical in promoting research, connecting it to practice, and increasing visibility in the academic community."
She further added, “This year we have added more international partners and now we have MoUs with over 90 international institutes and organisations to facilitate student and faculty exchange programme for doing joint research, organizing conferences and conducting programmes.”

MDI Placements 2023
The Institutes also reported their placement statistics where, MDI Gurgaon saw its highest salary at Rs. 60 lakhs while the median salary was at Rs 26.13 lakhs per annum. A total of 102 companies participated int eh MDI Gurgaon placements 2023. Companies from manufacturing, technology, media and tele-communications, BFSI, consulting, FMCG, FMCD, automobiles, e-commerce, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, energy and logistics made offers.
MDI Murshidabad concluded its final placements for the 2021-23 with average and median pay at Rs 12.67 lakh and Rs.11.40 lakh per annum. The highest package recorded this year was Rs 20 lakh per annum. Students were placed in 56 companies, 32 of which were new recruiters.
