NEW DELHI: Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon has addressed concerns about its students who were offered provisional admission offers in PGDM, HRM, IB, and Business Analytics programmes for 2024-26. The institute has guaranteed admission to the 2025-27 batch to all students who were initially offered provisional admission for the 2024-26 batch but could not be accommodated.
MDI Gurgaon faced backlash after announcing that candidates who have earlier received provisional admission offers for PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-IB, and PGDM-Business Analytics programmes 2024-26 could no longer be accommodated. Responding to this, the institute will be offering guaranteed admission to 2025-27 batch, without increased fees.
“MDI Gurgaon is committed to its students, and it will always be our attempt to uphold their interests. Over the past few days, there has been some anxiety and concern after the Institute wrote to some candidates, who had earlier been offered provisional admission offers in PGDM / PGDM-HRM / PGDM-IB / PGDM-Business Analytics programmes for 2024-26, that “it would not be possible to accommodate them in the current 2024-26 batch,” given that the dropout rate had fallen significantly this year when compared to last few years, the official statement read.
MDI Gurgaon has offered guaranteed admission for 2025-27, without increased fees. As per the MDI Gurgoan official statement, if students choose not to pursue the program they will be refunded the Rs 6 lakh caution money in full.
The institute expressed concern over provisional admission offers for 2024-26 programs due to a significant dropout rate, causing anxiety among candidates who were offered provisional admissions.
Meanwhile, the institute will close the application process for the second round of admissions to its Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Business Administration (PGDM-BA) programme today, June 24. Interested students who have not yet registered can fill the PGDM BA application form through the official website, mdi.ac.in.
