West Bengal UG admission 2024 registration begins at wbcap.in; apply by July 7

NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Council of Higher Education (WBCHSE) has commenced the registration for the undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2024-25. Eligible candidates can apply for WB UG admission 2024 on the newly launched centralised admission portal, wbcap.in. Any candidate who has passed Class 12 or equivalent examination can apply in the online centralised portal.

Presidency University, Jadavpur University, autonomous colleges, minority educational institutes or colleges, training colleges, law colleges, colleges or universities offering courses like fine arts and performing arts, crafts, dance, music, colleges offering engineering, pharmacy, nursing, medical courses and self-financing or private are not included in the centralized admission system.

West Bengal UG Admission 2024: How to apply?

Candidates can apply for admission using the steps given below.

  • Go to the official portal, wbcap.in
  • Click on the link to register
  • Enter mobile number and email ID to register
  • After registering successfully, fill the application form
  • Upload the documents and fill course preferences
  • Submit the details and save the form
  • Take a print out of the confirmation page for future reference

WB UG Admission 2024: Documents required

Students will have to upload the scanned copies of the following documents while registering for UG admission 2024 West Bengal:

  • Proof of date of birth
  • Class 12 registration certificate or documents showing unique ID number
  • Class 10 marksheet
  • Class 12 marksheet
  • Relevant social category certificate if applicable
  • PWD certificate (if applicable)
  • EWS certificate (if applicable)
  • Photograph of the candidate
  • Signature of the candidate
  • Bank passbook/crossed cheque/bank statement
  • Valid photo ID proof
  • District/state/national/international level sports certificate if applicable
