MH Nursing CET 2024 registration deadline extended; upper age limit removed

NEW DELHI: The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra announced that the upper age limit for nursing CET 2024 has been relaxed. The decision came after the Indian Nursing Council (INC) removed the upper age limit for admission to the nursing programmes.

''It is hereby notified that there will be no maximum/upper age limit for the admission to ANM, GNM, B.Sc.(N), m.Sc.(N), PBB.Sc.(N), Post Basic Diploma and Nurse Practitioner Programmes,” the CET cell quoted INC.

“Hence, as per the notification the upper age limit to apply for MH - Nursing CET is relaxed,” the test cell added.

As per the MH Nursing CET 2024 information brochure, the upper age limit for candidates applying was 35 years (40 years for Persons with Disabilities). “Upper age limit for admission to B.Sc Nursing, ANM & GNM is as per the guidelines of Indian Nursing Council Regulation, 2020 Dated 5th July 2021. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31 December of the year in which admission is sought. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years. The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years for disabled candidates,” the information brochure read.

Meanwhile, the state CET cell has also extended the last date to register for MH BSc Nursing CET 2024 till March 15. Earlier, the application form submission deadline was February 29.

“This office has received request from candidates and parents regarding extension for registration. Hence, considering the academic interest of the candidates State CET Cell has decided to give extension for online Registration for MH-Nursing CET-2024,” the cell stated.

Students who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate or equivalent examination, from an institution situated in the state of Maharashtra except with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) are eligible to appear for this examination.
