NEW DELHI: Maharashtra CET 2021 for admission to technical courses like engineering, pharmacy and architecture is likely to be held by the end of July or the first week of August, according to a Republicworld.com report.
As per the report, state higher and technical education minister Uday Samant addressed a press conference in Pune where he said, “For technical courses such as engineering, pharmacy, and architecture, the Maha CET will take place by the end of July or the first week of August. The test will be conducted online. Students won't be charged any fee for appearing in the exam as they have already paid the Class 12 exam fee."
As Class 12 exams have been cancelled, a committee has been formed to decide on conducting a general CET exams, the report added. The minister also confirmed that all the courses will be held in online mode as a precaution to the third wave of COVID-19.
According to the report, the government is still contemplating various options on whether to conduct a single state-level CET or to hold the exam at the division level or separate CETs by every university and autonomous college.
The MHT CET is a state-level entrance exam that is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.
