MHT CET result 2021: Check tie-breaking rule

New Delhi: The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra will be releasing the MHT CET result 2021 online on or before October 28. The MHT CET 2021 result will be checked by the candidates by using their MHT CET login ID and password.

There may be a chance that two or more candidates will score the same marks in the MHT CET 2021 exam. Because of this, there is confusion among the students over their ranks in the examination. In order to overcome this, the authorities have provided a tie-breaking rule.

The result of MHT CET will include details such as the candidate’s name, photograph & signature, the name of the candidate’s parents, roll number, application number, subject-wise percentile mark, total percentile score, etc.,

MHT CET 2021 result: tie-breaking policy

• If a tie happens, higher marks in Maths in the MHT CET 2021 exam will be considered.

• If a tie still persists, higher marks in physics will be taken into consideration.

• If a tie still continues, higher marks in chemistry will be taken into account.

• If still a tie persists, A higher percentage of marks in board or qualifying exam for physics, maths and chemistry will be considered together.

• If a tie still persists, a higher percentage of marks in mathematics at HSC will be considered.

• If a tie still continues, a higher percentage of marks in physics at HSC will be taken into consideration.

• If still a tie persists, a higher percentage of marks in aggregate at HSC will be taken into account.

The authorities have released the provisional MHT CET 2021 answer keys on October 11. The candidates were permitted to send challenges or objections against the preliminary answer key till October 13. The final answer key will be published along with MHT CET 2021 result on or before October 28.
