MIT School of Government to award 100% scholarships to 15% MA students

MIT-SOG's will accept online applications on mitwpu.edu.in till August 31.

NEW DELHI: MIT School of Government (MIT SOG), a constituent unit of MIT World Peace University, has announced up to 100% scholarships for its MA in Political Leadership and Government (MPG).

The scholarship policy is open to students enrolling in MIT-SOG's programmes for the academic year 2023-24. Interested students will have to submit the applications by August 31 on the official website, mitwpu.edu.in.

The MIT-SOG aims to promote academic excellence, encourage talent, and foster an equal opportunities environment for students willing to build careers in the sphere of politics and governance by offering these scholarships.

As part of the scholarship policy, 15% of students can get a scholarship award of 100% while 40% students will be eligible for a 50% scholarship. Another 15% can get 25% scholarship. This opportunity is supplementary to the already existing scholarships – Vishwanath Karad scholarship, MIT-WPU scholarship I and MIT-WPU scholarship II, the institute said.

MA in Political Leadership and Government is a two-year programme designed to provide students education in political strategy, analysis, electoral process, functional politics, international and public relations, NGO management, and media. As part of the curriculum, the students also have the opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge through two internships, it added.

Applicants have to secure at least 55% in graduation to apply for the MA programme. Candidates belonging to backward class category in Maharashtra need a minimum of 45% marks to apply for the programme.
