Try NowNEW DELHI: The Ministry of Education has issued a notification regarding the reconstitution of Board structure and administrative framework of JEE Apex Board (JAB for Joint Entrance Examination JEE) for admission to UG engineering programmes in ITs, NITS and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).

As per the notification, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will manage all information related to technology (software) support. For back-end activities like pre and post-examination work, including online submission of application forms, the agency may seek support from C-DAC as and when required.

The competent authority has decided to reconstitute the JEE Apex Board (JAB) in order to ensure the seamless administration of the JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced) Entrance Examinations for the years 2024 and 2025, following the conclusion of the previous JAB's mandate.
JEE Apex Board Reconstitution: Key points
- The JAB will be the final authority for setting up the policies, rules, regulations for the conduct of JEE Main exam. The board will also coordinate with JEE (Advanced) organising institution.
- NTA will provide the administrative and logistic support for the conduct of JEE (Main) across the country.
- The JAB of the IIT system willl continue fo assume responsibility for the conduct of JEE Advanced.
- The NIC / C-DAC will help in all information technology related (software) support. and back-end activities for pre and post-examination work, including online submission of application forms.
- The transparency processes established by the IT system in JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced) shall be adopted.
