NEW DELHI: The University Grants (UGC) chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar said that more universities adopting the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will result in a level playing field for students, and reduce stress on students to score high in board exams.

"More Universities adopting Common University Entrance Test (CUET) augurs well for the students and provides a level playing field. Without the stress to get high board scores, students can now focus on learning, unlearning and relearning," Kumar said in a tweet by sharing news of Dr BR Ambedkar University Delhi adopting CUET 2022.

Dr BR Ambedkar University Delhi, which is a Delhi government-run university had announced that it will hold all undergraduate admissions through CUET 2022. “It is mandatory for all the candidates to appear in CUET, 2022, including those seeking admission to supernumerary seats. The eligibility criteria will be decided on the basis of marks obtained in CUET,” she said. Singh further said that by adopting the CUET exam for UG admissions, AUD has become the first UT-state university to adopt CUET exam for admission 2022-23.
