DME Madhya Pradesh will publish the list of eligible candidates for MP NEET PG mop-up round counselling on February 7 on the official website, dme.mponline.gov.in.
NEW DELHI: Amid the rising demand to cancel the MCC NEET PG round 3 allotment due to delay in state counselling, the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Madhya Pradesh has published the MP NEET PG counselling schedule 2024 for mop-up round. The list of eligible candidates for MP NEET PG mop-up round will be published on the official website, dme.mponline.gov.in, on February 7.
Over 75 aspirants from different states approached the Supreme Court recently to file a petition seeking cancellation of NEET PG round 3 seat allotments announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the All India Quota (AIQ).
The main grievance of the petitioners is that the MCC NEET PG round 3 AIQ counselling was started before round 2 was concluded in certain states.
The NEET PG cut-off percentile was also reduced by the health ministry to ensure seats do not remain unfilled. Candidates from the state quota who were otherwise not eligible to register for AIQ round 3, got a chance to register and block a seat in MCC NEET PG R-3 counselling and “when the state round 2 counselling opened, they had an option to choose between the best option and leave the AIQ seat if they were getting a better seat in the state round of counselling”.
However, the clash in the MCC and state NEET PG counselling, seats blocked the candidates were not available for other students including the petitioners.
Calling it a "grave prejudice", the petitioners said: “If the AIQ Round 3 would have been conducted after the state round 2 counselling for all states was concluded, a group of candidates would not have gotten an undue advantage of blocking a seat in AIQ Round III and leaving it later while participating in State Round 2.”
