A total of 15,897 candidates were included in the Madhya Pradesh NEET state merit list. The first round seat allotment result was declared on August 18. Madhya Pradesh is home to 43 medical and dental colleges, of which, 18 are government and the remaining 25 are private institutes.
In a government order dated August 14, the ministry stated that the Guru Gobind Singh College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Burhanpur will not be permitted to admit students to its BDS course for the academic year 2025-26 due to non-compliance with guidelines set by the Dental Council of India (DCI)
The government has also warned of action under the provisions of the Dentists Act, 1948 and Regulations and stated if any admission is made in violation of the rule, it will be treated as “irregular”.
In line with the order, the state counselling committee has cancelled the August 18 seat allotment list . Fresh allotment result after removing 100 BDS seats in Burhanpur dental college will be published on August 20 and the admission process will restart from 3 pm today.
