MP NEET UG 2025 mop-up round counselling postponed till further notice; here’s why

The decision to postpone the Madhya Pradesh NEET UG 2025 counselling was made after the MCC announced the addition of new MBBS seats and extended the choice filling process for round 3.

Download EBookThe Department of Public Health and Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh has postponed the MP NEET UG mop-up round counselling till further notice. The decision follows the Medical Counselling Committee’s (MCC) announcement on the addition of MBBS seats for round 3 All India Quota (AIQ) counselling.
The MP NEET UG state mop-up round counselling was scheduled to begin tomorrow, on October 7. However, the admission process has been put on hold and a new schedule for the mop-up counselling will be announced in due course of time, the department of medical education said.
“The Resignation link and the Registration link will remain active from 07.10.2025 until the All India counselling 3rd Round allotment result is declared,” the officials clarified.

On October 4, the MCC announced the seat matrix for round 3 counselling. A total of 10,737 virtual, 4,921 clear vacancies, and an additional 139 seats were added in round 3, taking the total to 15,797.
Additionally, another eight MBBS seats – 3-UR, 2-OBC, 2-SC, 1-EWS – at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot, Punjab, have been included in the MCC NEET UG round 3 seat matrix .
The choice filling facility for the MCC NEET round 3 has been extended till further instructions. Therefore, candidates can expect the MP NEET UG counselling dates for mop-up round after the AIQ counselling dates for round 3 are confirmed.
