MP NEET UG Counselling 2025: DME adds 195 new MBBS seats in round 2 after NMC, Delhi HC nod

Try NowThe Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh has announced that new seats have been added to the seat matrix for the second round of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025 counselling for admissions to 85% state quota seats in MBBS, BDS programmes in government and private colleges across the state.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has given approval to 100 seats each in two new government medical colleges – Government Medical College Sheopur and Government Medical College Singrauli. 85 MBBS seats in each college under the state quota will be added in the vacancies.
Also, Delhi High court has passed an order allowing participation of Index Medical College, Indore with sanctioned intake capacity in the MP NEET UG counselling 2025 for the academic session 2025-26. Therefore, 25 MBBS seats of the college will also be included in the second round of State counselling.

Candidates who want to change their option for upgradation for the MP NEET UG 2025 counselling can submit their willingness through the link available at candidate’s login. The link will remain active till 11 pm today, August 30.
Recently, the DME extended the last date for admissions up to August 28. Whereas, the deadline for resignation or cancellation of an admitted seat is August 30, up to 5 pm.
“It is mandatory for all candidates to exercise the option for upgradation (YES/NO) at the time of admission at college level,” DME had said.
