MP SET 2025 application process begins for assistant professor posts; exam on January 11 for 31 subjects

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has started the application process for MP State Eligibility Test 2025 (SET 2025) for the post of assistant professors. Candidates can apply for the MP SET 2025 through the official website at mppsc.mp.gov.in.

The last date to fill the MP SET 2025 online application form is November 20. Those who will register for the competitive exam will be able to make corrections to their registration forms between October 30 and November 22, 2025.

Candidates will have to pay Rs 50 to make changes in their MP SET 2025 application form. The commission will conduct the MP SET 2025 on January 11, 2026.

MP SET 2025: Application fee, exam pattern

Candidates belonging to Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) (non-creamy layer), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories should have to pay Rs 250 as MP SET 2025 application form charges.

The registration fee for other category candidates is Rs 500.

The MP SET 2025 exam will be held to determine registered candidates’ eligibility for the position of assistant professor.

The objective-based exam will consist of paper 1 and 2, having a total of 150 questions with 300 marks. Paper 1 will involve questions on general awareness, teaching and research aptitude, while paper 2 will have questions on 31 subjects.

Notably, there will be no negative marking in the MP SET 2025. Candidates will be awarded two marks for each correct response.

The MP SET 2025 is a state-level examination, conducted to fill the posts of assistant professors in higher education institutions in the state of MP.
