The merit list is an important component of the result as it is used for shortlisting candidates for counselling and seat allotment. Candidates not listed in the merit list will not be invited for counselling.

How to download the merit list

To check and download the merit list, the candidate needs to go to the merit list page and log-in using their application number. The merit list is available in downloadable pdf format.

Counselling of merit list candidates

The counselling of shortlisted candidates will be conducted in multiple rounds as per their rank. Also, while counselling for round I will be conducted in offline mode, subsequent rounds (II-V) will be held in online mode; spot round meanwhile will be also held offline. Allotment of seats will be on the basis of the rank of the candidate and preference of college and courses. A brief of the counselling process is given below:

  • Registration: All shortlisted candidates have to get registered to participate in counselling. At the time of counselling, the candidates will have to enter their choice of colleges and courses.

  • Payment of counselling fee: In the next step, the candidates have to pay the applicable registration fee (Rs. 10,000) and also the course fee (Rs. 2,85,000). The fee has to be paid in offline mode using Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of “Manipal Academy of Higher Education” payable at Manipal or Udupi.

  • Document verification: In this step, the candidate has to get all the necessary documents verified. Any candidate who fails to do so may be disqualified from the admission process. Key documents that the candidates have to verify include – MU OET hall ticket, Aadhaar card, PAN card, Mark sheet of 10th standard as proof of date of birth.

  • Seat allotment: Upon successful document verification, candidates will be allotted seats as per their choices made and also their merit rank

A candidate even if allotted a seat in Round I of counselling can apply in subsequent rounds of counselling. Such candidates can also make changes to their choices. Additionally, candidates who are not allotted seats in Round I or have opted for wait list can also participate in these rounds.

In case there are any vacant seats at the end of Round V of counselling, a spot round will be conducted. This round will be conducted in offline mode, meaning candidates will have to be physically present.
