Mumbai University Admissions 2026: Registration begins for PG programmes; schedule out

University of Mumbai has released the admission schedule for postgraduate (PG) programmes for the academic year 2026-27, announcing that the online admission process has been started. Candidates can register themselves at the university admission portal, muadmission.samarth.edu.in. The last to apply is May 26, 2026 (up to 6 pm).

The schedule applies to affiliated and autonomous colleges in the Arts, Science and Commerce faculties, university departments, and sub-campuses located in Thane, Kalyan, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.

According to the circular, admissions will be conducted in line with the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Government Resolution dated April 20, 2023, which supports the multiple entry and multiple exit framework in higher education. The admission process will cover one-year PG diploma courses, two-year postgraduate programmes, fourth-year honours courses, and fourth-year honours with research programmes under the bachelor’s degree structure.

To apply, candidates can follow these steps:

• Visit the MU official admission portal: muugadmission.samarth.edu.in
• Create a new account using basic details like name, email ID, and mobile number
• Fill out the application form with personal and academic information
• Upload necessary documents, including photograph, signature, and mark sheets
• Make the payment using net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI and submit
• Download the form and take a printout for future reference

The circular also instructed all colleges, including autonomous institutions, to strictly follow the admission schedule and reservation norms while ensuring admissions are completed before June 11, 2026. The university stated that no admissions will be entertained after the deadline.
