NEW DELHI, APRIL 29: National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture commenced at 9.30 am at 136 centres including one abroad. The entrance exam is held nationwide for admissions to the 5 year B.Architecture programmes offered across the various institutions in the country. The results will be announced on or before June 1, 2018.

Candidates had to report by 8.30 am to the exam centres as allotted to them along with their admit cards , a valid photo ID and the drawing materials like colour pens, pencils ect. Water colours were not allowed and candidates had to carry a blue or black ball pen to the exam hall.

Some instructions were given regarding the filling of the answer sheet like using block letters for writing their name, signature to be matched with the NATA application form and left thumb impression to be put in the presence of the invigilator.
A three hour exam consisting of two sections - Part A comprising of Aptitude and Mathematics for 90 minutes and Part B comprising of drawing for 90 minutes, NATA will conclude at 12.30 pm. The exam is partly online and partly offline. Part A is online while Part B is offline. Candidates have have to answer 60 questions in Part A with 20 questions in Mathematics and 40 questions in General Aptitude. Part B will have 2 questions of 40 marks each. There is no negative marking.
The recorded responses and answer key will probably be available by the second week of May. The result will be in three formats as below:
NATA is the entrance exam used by most states as a screening test for the admissions to the B.Arch programmes. There is no specific counselling for NATA. Candidates must apply to their individual states for the admissions on the basis of their scores.
