NEW DELHI : The Council of Architecture (CoA) has announced the revised NATA 2021 exam date for the second test. NATA 2021 second test which was scheduled to be conducted on June 12 will now be conducted on July 11. The decision to postpone the NATA 2021 second test has been made in the view of the severity of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The official notification read, “In view of the severity of second wave of COVID-19 and subsequent lockdowns being imposed in several states/ UTs in the country for containment of pandemic, it has been decided by the competent authority of the Council of Architecture that second test of NATA 2021 examination shall now be held on July 11 instead of earlier scheduled date of June 12, 2021.”
The NATA 2021 latest notice also states that the revised NATA brochure with revised important dates for the second test will be updated shortly at the official website - nata.in.
The online NATA application form 2021 is available on the official website. Candidates who wish to appear in the second test of NATA 2021 can now fill and submit the application form. The NATA 2021 application process primarily consists of five steps - registration, filling application form, uploading of scanned images, payment of application fee, and printout of the confirmation page.
COA successfully conducted the NATA 2021 first test on April 10 following all the COVID-19 guidelines. The National Aptitude Test in Architecture 2021 phase 1 was held at 196 designated test centres across India and also at Dubai, Qatar, Omen and Kuwait.
Candidates who appeared in the NATA 2021 first test were able to check their results in online mode on April 20. Along with the release of the result, the COA also announced reduction in the NATA 2021 qualifying marks . Considering the COVID-19 situation across the country, the authorities reduced the NATA 2021 qualifying marks from 75 to 70.
National Aptitude Test in Architecture, commonly known as NATA, is conducted every year for admissions into the undergraduate BArch courses. This year, COA also relaxed the NATA eligibility criteria . The authorities have relaxed the NATA 2021 eligibility criteria of obtaining at least 50% marks in Class 12 or 10+3 diploma for taking the BArch admission to just passing the board level exams.
