New Delhi, October 17 : Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB), New Delhi recently hosted “National HR Conclave 2018, Tech trends – Threats or Opportunities?’ to bridge the gap between the corporates and academic perspectives.
The conclave provided a platform for HR professionals to share their experiences and knowledge with the student community. The Conclave started with a presentation by the students on their view of the theme. Aviva Life Insurance’s Chief People Officer Amit Malik in his keynote address stressed on the recent technological advances in the HR domain. The speakers at the conclave included Krishna Bedi, Naveen Manshani, Ankit Verma, Dr. Vandana Ahuja and Mr. Havish Madhvapathy. They mainly deliberated on how managers and organizations need to proactively integrate technology rather than react to the influence of technology on society.
A major attraction of the event was the release of the book “Between U & Me”, authored by Aparna Sharma. It portrays the real-life stories of 14 ordinary people with extraordinary personalities who inspired her and made a positive impact on her life. This is her second initiative after her first book ‘Reality Bytes – The Role of HR in Today’s World’ in English and Hindi, which received an overwhelming response.
The event concluded with a panel discussion where experts from multiple organizations expressed their views. The panel threw light on academics, outsourcing, analytics and human dimensions around the theme. FIIB, Dr A K Sinha also addressed the conclave along with IFFCO’s AK Gupta.
