NMC PG admission list 2025-26 out for 52,690 MD, MS, diploma students

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has published details of 52,690 students admitted to postgraduate medical education broad-specialty courses for the 2025-26 academic year. The list includes students enrolled in MD, MS and diploma programmes at medical colleges and institutions under the NMC.

In a public notice, the NMC advised all postgraduate medical students admitted during the 2025-26 academic year to check the uploaded list and verify that their names and admission details have been correctly included.

As per the post graduate medical education board (PGMEB) notice, details of 52,690 students admitted to postgraduate medical courses for the 2025-26 academic year have been uploaded on the NMC portal.

NMC MD/MS/Diploma Names: Steps to check

To check the names follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official website of NMC website at .nmc.org.in
• On the homepage, look for the pdf containing the PG student admission list for the 2025-26 academic year
• Search for the name by using the function ‘Ctrl+F’
• Verify the details carefully
• Download the pdf and take a printout for further reference

The notice reads, “Students admitted to the Postgraduate Medical Education (Broad Specialty) programme for the Academic Year 2025–26 whose names are not reflected in the list are advised to immediately contact the concerned Directorate of Medical Education/Counselling Authority through their respective colleges.”

The publication of the admission list comes after a series of directives from the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) asking medical colleges to submit details of students admitted to postgraduate medical courses.

PGMEB first issued public notices on March 25 and March 30, 2025, directing medical colleges to upload the required admission details. The initial deadline for submitting the information was April 15, 2025.

"The Post-Graduation Medical Education Board (PGMEB), through Public Notices dated 25.03.2025 and 30.03.2025, requested all the Medical Colleges to upload the details of students admitted for Post- Graduation Medical Education for the Academic Year 2025-26, latest by 15.04.2025. Further, extension of the date was published on 25.05.2026 up to 08.06.2026," the notice reads further.
