NBEMS extended application deadline for review of accreditation to medical colleges

NBEMS accredits hospitals, institutions and medical colleges for running DNB, DrNB courses, super specialty and fellowship courses.
NEW DELHI: National Board of Examination Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has once again extended the last date for submission of application for review of accreditation for the academic session 2023. The deadline for submission of application is November 30.
NBEMS accredits hospitals, institutions and medical colleges for running DNB, DrNB courses in various broad and super specialty and fellowship courses.
The grant of accreditation by NBEMS is provisional in nature. A copy of accreditation will be sent across to the applicant hospitals and institutes after it has been accredited by NBEMS.
The NBE has prohibited the applicants from using any agent or agency for preparing, drafting and submitting applications.
“In the event of such an instance being brought to the notice of NBEMS, NBEMS reserves its absolute right to summarily reject the application besides further action as may be deemed appropriate including but not limited to debarment from filing application seeking accreditation in future,” it said.
The application should be certified by the head of the institute and supporting documents should be submitted along with the form.

How to submit application
Medical colleges and hospitals will have to submit the application form through Online Accreditation Application Portal (OAAP) by following the steps given below.
- Create a profile of the applicant hospital, the details will be verified by NBEMS.
- The applicant hospital cannot submit the application unless the profile is verified by NBEMS.
- Fill the main application form and specialty application form online.
- Complete the application form and upload the documents.
- Pay the application fee and submit the form.
The hard copy of the application should be sent to the “Accreditation Department, National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, Medical Enclave, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi -110029”.
