NEW DELHI: The Nagaland Board of School Education will be conducting the NBSE HLSC Class 10 board exam 2024 for over 22,000 students from today. The NBSE Board Class 10 exams 2024 will be held from February 13 to 23. Students are required to carry the Nagaland Board admit card to be allowed entry into the exam hall.

Students will be given a total of 3 hours to complete the NBSE HSLC 2024 board exam. As per the exam timing, the annual theory exams will be held from 9.45 am to 1 pm. Students will also be given 15 reading time to go through the Class 10 board question paper.

The board had in December issued guidelines to heads of schools to train Class 10, 12 students how to fill the front page of the board exam 2024 answer booklets. Students were instructed to use only black or blue point pen to mark the roll number.

“My best wishes to the 22,136 students for HSLC and 17,911 students for HSSLC, who will be taking their exams under NBSE Nagaland. I urge you all to study hard, stay focussed, be confident and give your best. Wishing you all good health and may God bless your efforts with success,” Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio posted on X.

Those students who obtain 30% marks in aggregate in NBSE HSLC board exam 2024 will be declared qualified. Students who fail to show their Nagaland board Class 10 admit card will not be permitted to sit for the board examinations in 2024.

In line with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), the board had introduced compartment and improvement exams for board students from 2023. Students who get ‘needs improvement’ in one subject will be allowed to sit in the improvement exam. Class 10, 12 board exam students of Nagaland board will get two chances to appear in the compartmental exams to clear the failed subjects. The decision was taken to prevent dropout rates in the state.

As per the exam guidelines, electronic gadgets, mobile phones, bluetooth devices are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
