NEW DELHI, AUGUST 30: National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has declared the provisional result of National Talent Search Examination or NTSE 2018 stage 2 on August 30. Students, who appeared for the national level scholarship exam on May 13, 2018, can check their result by entering their roll number, date of birth and the security code in the login window.

NTSE stage 2 result comprises a candidate’s personal details, score in the Mental Ability Test (MAT), Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), overall score and qualifying status. In case of any discrepancies in NTSE result 2018, test takers must immediately report the same via mail to ntsexam.ncert@gov.in by September 7, 2018 (till 5.30 pm). NCERT will declare the final result after reviewing the requests and addressing the discrepancies, if any.
NTSE stage 2 was held for total 200 marks (100 marks for each of the two). The qualifying marks for the exam was 40% (32% for reserved category candidates) in each paper. Out of all the students, around 1000 across India have qualified NTSE stage 2.
Shortlisted candidates studying in classes 11 and 12 will be awarded a monthly stipend of Rs. 1250 while the ones pursuing undergraduation and post-graduation will receive Rs. 2000 each month. NTSE scholarship amount for candidates pursuing PhD will be as specified by UGC. To continue availing the scholarship, one must study any of the approved courses as a regular student, maintain proper attendance and must not take up a job or any other scholarship.
