NEET 2018: CBSE to release official answer keys and OMR sheets on May 25

Download EBookNEW DELHI, May 24 : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will issue the NEET 2018 official answer keys, the OMR response sheet images and the test booklet codes of candidates in online mode from May 25, 2018 onwards. Candidates will have until 5.00 PM on May 27, 2018, to challenge deficiences in the answer key or the grading in their OMR answer sheet.
As per the update released by the CBSE in this regard on the official NEET website on May 24, “The CBSE will display the Answer Key, Images of OMR and Responses to the questions marked by the candidates and Test Booklet Code of the candidates from 25.05.2018”. A separate notice containing details of the time and date as well as the charges involved in challenging the answer key and OMR sheets has also been released.

To check the answer key and the scanned images of their OMR sheet and responses, candidates will be required to login to their NEET accounts with the existing User IDs/Registration Number and password through the CBSE NEET website. They will also be able to check their test paper booklet codes from among the 20 which were provided for the exam, ie. AA, BB, CC, DD, EE, FF, GG, HH, KK, LL, MM, NN, PP, QQ, RR, SS, WW, XX, YY and ZZ.
Those candidates willing to challenge the answer key or OMR grading and test booklet codes should note that they will only be able to do so by paying the processing charges of Rs. 1000 per answer key or per response or per test booklet code. As per the CBSE, the processing charges will be non-refundable even if the challenges are accepted, which is likely to prove to be a source of consternation for most candidates. The CBSE has also said that its decision on the challenges it receives will be final.

NEET 2018 was conducted on May 6, 2018. The result of NEET is expected to be declared by June 5, 2018. After considering all the challenges made by candidates, CBSE will release a revised official answer key containing the accepted challenges. The same will be considered for the processing of results. Candidates will also be able to download their NEET 2018 answer keys and OMR sheets from the designated Common Service Centres set up by the Ministry of Information Technology by paying a nominal fee of Rs. 10.
