New Delhi, May 7: Around 10-12 questions of medical entrance exam NEET 2018, held on May 6, have landed in doubt as NEET 2018 answer key released by different coaching institutes differ on multiple questions in all the three sections of the test – Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Many top coaching institutes have also marked ‘Bonus Marks’ for a few doubtful questions.

The NEET answer keys, however, will only be authenticated officially when CBSE will release answer key in last week of May. In case, the CBSE answer key is contested, the exam authority may constitute an expert committee to look into the answer key challenges. All candidates may be awarded bonus marks if the expert committee finds mistakes in its own answer keys.
For now, Careers360 compiles here answer keys from as many as six coaching institutes - Rao IIT Academy, Brilliant Study Centre, Allen Kota, Resonance, Careers Point and Akash Institute, to analyse the NEET 2018 questions where experts differ on the correct answer.
As per the NEET Answer Keys released by the coaching institutes, the highest number of answer key variation is reflected in Physics section with the coaching experts differing on as many as six questions. The answer key released for Chemistry section has variation in four questions. The Biology section which carries the highest number of questions in NEET paper has two questions where experts differ on answers.

While CBSE had arranged 20 sets of NEET question papers, the questions in all sets remained same. The sequences of questions were different in each set. The sequence in which the answer options were placed for each question also varied for different sets. The NEET 2018 question paper and Answer key are available here . NEET 2018 Chemistry Answer Key Variation:
The Chemistry section has four questions where experts have suggested different answers. For Example, Rao IIT Academy and Aakash Institute have suggested answer option 3 for question number 9 of FF set, Allen Kota and Career Point have suggested Bonus Marks. The answer option from Brilliant Study Centre and Resonance for the same question is option number 1. Thus, the six coaching institutes are having varied opinions on this particular question. Similarly, there are different answer options for question number 13, 19 and 22 in Chemistry section.

NEET 2018 Biology Answer Key Variation:
The Biology section which carries 90 questions – with 45 questions each in Botany and Zoology, has 2 questions where experts differ on answer keys. In this section, however, Rao IIT Academy is the only coaching institute differing with other 5 coaching institutes that we referred to.

NEET Answer Key for Physics section
In Physics section, coaching institutes varied on a total of 6 questions . Here also, Rao IIT Academy had different answer options from all the other 5 coaching institutes on four questions (question number - 143, 156, 157, 175). On the two other questions (Q.N.- 149, 160), experts from different coaching institutes had differing opinions.

Last year also, multiple questions from NEET paper was in doubt and coaching institute had differed on multiple answer keys. In 2017, CBSE had awarded 8 bonus marks for 2 wrong questions in the test paper.
