NEW DELHI, JUNE 4: NEET 2018 Results will be announced by 2 pm today, a government official announced in a tweet on June 4, 2018. In his tweet, Human Resource and Development Secretary, Anil Swarup said that the results of the all India entrance exam will be declared today. “CBSE informs that NEET results would be declared today by 2.00 PM,” read his official twitter handle. Earlier, Central Board of Secondary Education on February 7, 2018 had scheduled the NEET results for June 5, 2018.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test is a single window entrance examination for admission to 90,000 undergraduate medical and dental seats across the country except for AIIMS and JIPMER. Starting this year, CBSE has mandated that the admission to AYUSH courses will also be on the basis of NEET. As per the data shared by CBSE, a total of 13.26 lakh candidates had registered for NEET 2018.
The CBSE had earlier released the NEET 2018 official answer key, OMR response sheets, and test booklets on May 25, 2018.
What will NEET 2018 result mention?
CBSE will release the NEET result in the form of a score card which will contain information as candidates’ roll number, application number, personal details, marks obtained in the individual subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, total marks secured, percentile score, NEET All India rank, qualifying status in NEET, NEET All India Rank for 15% AIQ seats, and NEET Cutoff Score.
NEET 2018 Cutoff
The minimum marks required by the candidates to qualify in NEET 2018 is the qualifying cutoff. Only the candidates who meet the NEET cutoff requirement will be eligible for further counselling and admission process. The qualifying percentile for the un-reserved category is 50, while for the OBC/SC/ST category (including Persons with Disability) the cutoff percentile is 40, and for the Unreserved Persons with Disability (PwD) category, it is 45. The cutoff marks against the qualifying percentile will be mentioned in the score card of the candidates.
As per experts, the cutoff marks may see a dip this year considering the higher difficulty level of the question paper as compared to last year. Last year, the cutoff marks for the un-reserved category was 131. It was 107 for the OBC/SC/ST, and 118 for the un-reserved Persons with Disability.

What after NEET Result?
After the Result announcement, candidates who qualify for counselling will be able to participate in both All India Counselling and State Level Counselling process depending on their eligibility criteria. The NEET counselling is expected to begin by second week of June and the admission process will get over by last week of August.
