NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the answer key for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) soon. The expected NEET 2021 answer key release date is anytime after October 14, following the closing of the correction window. Candidates should know the NTA will only release the answer key for NEET 2021 on the official websites neet.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in. NEET UG answer key 2021 available on any other platforms will not be considered official by any means. NTA has released NEET official answer key on October 15 on the official website. Along with that, the NEET OMR sheet has also been made available.

With the help of the NEET answer key 2021 released by NTA and response sheet, candidates who appeared for the test on September 12 will be able to check their estimated scores. The scores can be calculated keeping in mind the NEET 2021 marking scheme. Candidates are advised to read further to know more details about NEET 2021 answer key such as how to download, raise objections, as well as, steps and formula to calculate scores.
Candidates are advised to follow the below-mentioned steps to download the official NEET answer key 2021 PDF when available.
Go to the official NTA NEET 2021 website, neet.nta.nic.in
Click on the link that says “Challenge NEET-UG 2021 answer key”
Log in with your application number and password
Click on key challenge and select a test booklet code
Select the question numbers and click on Submit
Choose the answer that you believe is correct
Click on "Confirm"
Pay the objection filing fee which is Rs 1000 for every challenged answer. and keep the confirmation slip for future reference

The NEET 2021 marking scheme states that for every correct answer four marks will be awarded, for every incorrect answer one mark will be deducted and no mark(s) will be provided for any unattempted question. It is important to keep the NEET 2021 marking scheme in mind to predict accurate scores. The formula to calculate NEET 2021 scores is mentioned below.
NEET scores = total correct answers X 4 - total wrong answers X 1 |
Following the release of the answer key, the NTA will also release the OMR sheet of NEET 2021 on the official website with the marked responses. The NEET OMR answer sheet will enable candidates to match their answers with the official answer key and calculate their obtained scores for NEET 2021. Any candidate who finds a discrepancy in his/her response sheet can challenge the same by paying Rs 200 for each question. Candidates must know that the fee to challenge NEET 2021 OMR sheet will not be refundable, even if it is accepted by NTA.
NEET UG is conducted every year in pen and paper-based mode for admission to medical, dental, BSc nursing, veterinary and AYUSH courses.
